“Here to help you put the pieces together.”

Tammie Elkins is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Murfreesboro, TN dedicated to helping individuals, couples, children, and families find healing, clarity, and connection. With decades of experience serving this community, Tammie offers a warm, relational approach that makes people feel safe, understood, and supported.

Tammie began her career in education, teaching in Murfreesboro City Schools for 20 years before returning to graduate school to pursue a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca Nazarene University. Her background in early childhood development combined with clinical training allows her to understand the full picture of family systems, development, relationships, and emotional health.

In her practice, Tammie works from a systemic lens—meaning she sees people within the context of their relationships, experiences, and environments. She is also Level 1 and 2 trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective treatment for trauma and distressing life experiences.

Tammie believes therapy is a collaborative process. Her role is to help clients identify patterns, understand their emotions, and move toward the life they want with clarity and confidence. Whether working with an individual or an entire family, she approaches each session with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
